It's easy to go along with toxic abuses, sweeping things under the rug, looking the other way, kidding ourselves, pretending it's okay (when deep down we know/sense it's not.)

Whether it's in our families, our communities, our workplace, or our world---It is not easy to speak up against the status quo, when the status quo is abusive and toxic. Speaking out takes Courage. Especially if we ourselves have personally endured trauma and abuse at the hands of those systems, communities or family units that operate in that abusive way.
